Registry clerks work directly with members of the public to provide the services they need. What is it like to work at a registry?

• You will provide customer service and information, both by phone and face-to-face.
• Following the policies and procedures set by the Government of Alberta and your registry, you will work on the front line, verifying customers’ ID and their eligibility for services and explaining the procedures necessary to order personal documents.
• You will ethically assist customers while respecting the confidentiality of their information.
• You will be a friendly team member, but also must work well independently and under pressure.
• Your attention to detail and caring, assertive attitude will help you provide registry products in a busy office environment.
• Your problem solving abilities, good communication skills and familiarity with technology will help you troubleshoot issues as they arise.

If you are 18 years old or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary courses in business, retail or computers would be as asset) and a satisfactory Police Information Check, apply to start your career in registries!

• Treasury Board and Finance

Our CORES and APPRES courses are also used in other industries like law firms, banks, real estate, and automotive dealerships.
