You can register your consent to become an organ or tissue donor for free with the AOTDR online or at any Alberta registry office. There is no cost to your family or estate if you donate organs or tissues. The database captures your donation choices, which will then be accessible to donation professionals.

Over 921,000 Albertans age 18 or over have registered their consent to become an organ or tissue donor with the AOTDR.
You can show your support for members of the community with a specialty licence plate. Honor the past and present service of members of the armed forces with a veteran's or Support Our Troops plate. By helping Albertans sign up for The War Amps Key Tag Service when renewing their licences, registry agents are raising awareness for this lost key return service that also supports essential programs for amputees in Alberta.
For more than a century, The War Amps has been improving the lives of Canadian amputees, including veterans and children, through financial assistance for artificial limbs, peer support, advocacy and much more. The War Amps does not receive government grants and relies on donations to the Key Tag Service to fund its many programs.

Alberta registries are a powerhouse when it comes to supporting the province’s food banks! In 2025, Edmonton's Food Bank alone collected, sorted and redistributed 5.1 million kilograms of food valued at over $41.2 million. 36% of Alberta food bank users are children.
Registry offices act as a collection site for food bank donations, which benefit communities all over the province. At every Association of Alberta Registry Agents conference, funds are raised for the food bank in the community where the conference is held.
